McMahon will be joined by special guests Annie-Rose Maloney in Australia and Kee’ahn in New Zealand.
Light, Dark, Light Again was nominated for the 2023 Australian Music Prize, which ultimately went to Melbourne indie rockers RVG.
McMahon said about her album in a statement, “Light, Dark, Light Again is a record about facing the fear and learning it can be a portal to something bigger and better. It finds that the only certainty in life is that everything ends, and everything begins again – that there is life and death and life again, that there is light and dark and light again.”
In an album review, The Music declared, “Light, Dark, Light Again is an album that displays Angie McMahon as she is: messy sometimes but always warm and true to who she is.”
The review added that her latest LP “isn’t exactly a happy album, but for those who connect with McMahon’s authentic storytelling and messages, it might just feel like the soothing hug you need right now.”
