Last week, Amyl And The Sniffers announced a massive 2025 Australian tour.
The tour will see them headlining the largest venues they’ve played in their career in Australia – including the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne, Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, and Hindley Street Music Hall in Adelaide. One would think that ticket prices would also go up after seeing some of the venues listed. That hasn’t been the case.
After checking the ticket prices for the band’s Melbourne show, The Music was met with a pleasant surprise: all tickets, including the seats and front mosh pit, as well as the lawn general admission tickets, are capped at $75 each before fees. Usually, the separate ticketing tiers at the Bowl result in the cheapest tickets for Lawn GA and the most expensive at the front.

While the ticket prices for Sydney and the Sunshine Coast are currently unavailable, tickets cost $76.38 in Adelaide, $73.70 in Brisbane, $75 in Perth, and $74.74 in Wollongong. In addition to their headline dates, Amyl And The Sniffers will perform at the Tassie music festival Party In The Paddock before heading to New Zealand.
As it turns out, the band deliberately set ticket prices lower for the upcoming tour.
“It is always the instinct of Amyl And The Sniffers to keep ticket prices affordable, and that’s what we have tried to do for this tour,” the band’s management shared in a statement with The Music. “This is not the kind of band that asks, ‘How much can we charge?’ but ‘How low can we go and still cover our risk if the shows don’t sell out?’”
The statement continued, “The bigger the venues, the higher the costs across the board - venue hire fees, booking fees, production costs, crew, travel, accommodation, insurance, etc. We’ve tried to strike a reasonable balance between covering costs, making money, and treating our fans with some compassion and respect.”
Paul Sloan, the Managing Director of Supersonic Australasia (and the band’s agent), told The Music that Amyl And The Sniffers are “always” actively looking to be respectful to their fans and maximise accessibility for their shows.
“I am really proud of Amyl being willing to take a hit on this tour to keep end user prices sane. Respect,” Sloan said.
Adding that, as an agent, none of Sloan’s clients have ever asked what the maximum price they can charge is, Sloan continued, “Artists are always looking to find a respectful pricing position that maximises audience participation and satisfaction whilst remaining commercially viable.”
Pre-sale tickets for the upcoming tour will be available from Wednesday, 30 October, before the general sale opens on Friday, 1 November. Tickets will be available via the Amyl And The Sniffers website.
