“I wrote 'Big Ones' during a time when I was sorting through the stress of expectation."
There’s just one week until Ali Barter drops her new album and to celebrate, she’s gifted fans another new single in the form of Big Ones.
Its accompanying music video features Barter as a soft-serve connoisseur in New York, with highlights including a scene where the Aussie rocker smacks an ice-cream out of someone’s hand and clips of her rocking out on the truck’s roof.
“I wrote Big Ones during a time when I was sorting through the stress of expectation,” Barter noted of the new track.
“Expectations from the people I work with, people I live with and mainly the ones I was putting on myself. So the song is essentially about opinions.”
With the new record, Hello, I’m Doing My Best, out next Friday via InertiaMusic/[PIAS], Barter – who features on this month’s cover of The Music Melbourne - will embark on a headline tour at the end of the month.
