WATCH: Alanis Morissette & Foo Fighters Perform ‘You Oughta Know’

Alanis Morissette joined the surviving members of Foo Fighters on stage during the band’s second tribute concert to the late Taylor Hawkins.

Following an epic concert at Wembley Stadium earlier this month, the Foo Fighters played Los Angeles’ Kia Forum this week, joined by famous musical friends.

One of the highlights was Morissette’s appearance, during which she performed her single You Oughta Know with the band, a track that rose to fame while Hawkins was touring with her in the mid-‘90s.

For the Jagged Little Pill song, Morissette, Dave Grohl and co were joined by Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, and bassist Chris Chaney, the latter of whom toured with the Canadian singer-songwriter the same time that Hawkins did.

Chaney also played alongside the drummer in Taylor Hawkins & The Coattail Riders and wore one of their shirts during the performance.

In recent months, Morissette has paid tribute to Hawkins during her Jagged Little Pill 25th anniversary tour during the song Ironic, during which images of the drummer during their tours together were displayed.

Unfortunately, the Australian leg of that tour was axed back in June due to “scheduling issues” and “the unprecedented logistical challenges of global touring in 2022”.

The Los Angeles leg of the tribute concert featured a dizzying display of talents with the full line-up featuring Morissette, Miley Cyrus, P!NK, Black Sabbath’s Geezer Butler, Pearl Jam’s Matt Cameron, RUSH’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor, Rage Against The Machine’s Brad Wilk, Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic, Nancy Wilson, Queens Of The Stone Age’s Joshua Homme, Joan Jett, Travis Barker, The Police’s Stewart Copeland, Jane’s Addiction’s Chris Chaney, Sebastian Bach, Mark Ronson and more.
