"It is so f***ing funny and is my favourite thing that has happened in the Olympics this whole time," the singer said.

Australian breakdancer Rachael “Raygun” Gunn stole the internet’s attention over the weekend with her sweet moves.
When she’s not competing in the Olympic breakdancing competition, Raygun is an academic researching the “cultural politics of breaking” and a lecturer at Macquarie University in the Department of Media, Communications, Creative Arts, Language and Literature.
Over the weekend, footage of Raygun’s breakdancing routine went viral because, quite frankly, it’s hilarious. Some of her moves reminded X (formerly known as Twitter) users of their dogs rolling in the backyard, while others got out there and tried their own version of her moves.

On The Music, Liz Giuffre followed St. Vincent’s lead and remarked that the Aussie is BRAT, adding that it’s “Raygun’s world, and we’re just living in it.”
While many found the humour in Raygun’s performance, she’s also been subject to criticism. Luckily, British superstar Adele is on the side of seeing the joy in Raygun’s moves.
Performing in Munich on Saturday (10 August), Adele talked to her fans mid-show about the Aussie who’s stolen the hearts of the international sporting community.
“Did anyone see the breakdancing lady?” the Rolling In The Deep singer asked. “Now, I didn't even know breakdancing was an Olympic sport these days. That is fucking fantastic. I really, really do.”
She continued, “I can't work out if it was a joke, but either way, it has made me very, very happy, and me and my friends have been shitting ourselves laughing for nearly 24 hours.
“I just wanted to know if you have seen it. If you haven't seen it, please leave the show and google it because it is LOLZ. It is so fucking funny and is my favourite thing that has happened in the Olympics this whole time.”
You can watch Adele’s reaction to Raygun below.
Addressing her critics, Raygun said of her performance at the 2024 Olympic Games (via 7 News), “I was never going to beat these girls on what they do best, the dynamic and the power moves, so I wanted to move differently, be artistic and creative because how many chances do you get that in a lifetime to do that on an international stage.
“I was always the underdog and wanted to make my mark in a different way.”
