AC/DC's 'Back In Black' Is Now A Book Of Murder Mysteries

AC/DC’s Back In Black is now the inspiration behind something wholly new and exciting (and nothing to do with music) – it’s the inspiration behind a new book of murder mysteries.

Back In Black is now an anthology series comprising ten short stories, including a new Jack Reacher story by Andrew Child, who took over the book series from his brother Lee.

The third in Don Brun’s Music And Murder Mystery Series, which has included Michael Jackson’s Thriller and the Eagles’ Hotel California, Back In Black features stories written by Child, Reed Farrel Coleman, Rick Bleiweiss, Heather Graham, Tori Eldridge, Ward Larsen and more.

Back In Black will be released on Tuesday, 16 July – you can pre-order the book here.

As Consequence Of Sound reports, the short story You Shook Me All Night Long is the Jack Reacher story, which fans could hopefully end up seeing in the Prime Video hit series Reacher.

Last month, AC/DC announced their first tour dates since 2016 and unveiled a new-look touring line-up, including bassist Chris Chaney (formerly with Jane’s Addiction and Alanis Morissette), who’s “carrying the torch” for bassist Cliff Williams, and the return of drummer Matt Laug, who played with the band at the inaugural Power Trip festival last October.

Some dates on their upcoming tour will hold two shows per venue, namely London’s Wembley Stadium and Austria’s Ernst Happel Stadium, and a pair of shows at two German spaces: Olympic Stadium and Veltins Arena.

The tour begins at Veltins Arena on Friday, 17 May and stretches into August, ending on the 17th at Dublin, Ireland’s Croke Park. You can check out all the tour dates here.

It’s unclear if the rockers will tour Australia and New Zealand this year, but according to Cherry Bar owner James Young, they just might.

Taking to Facebook last year, Young wrote that “a little birdy” told him AC/DC would “100% be touring Australia in 2024.”
