'Connect To Consume' is here.
Tassie punk group A Swayze & The Ghosts have dropped their latest single today.
Dubbed Connect To Consume, the track is a fiery take on social media addiction.
"We have exchanged honesty, beauty, ugliness, boredom – reality – for an abstract museum inside a digitised screen, curated by big business but sustained by us. We have volunteered to pace the halls blindly, loudly," says frontman Andrew Swayze of the track.
"We are promised the pain of life will numb. We are given a rule for everything. We submit, we succeed. We do not feel; we do not need to anymore.
"We have accepted the prison and adorned the uniforms under the guise of convenience. We have connected and now we will consume. We have messed up. Fuck my generation's complacency."
The group will be heading on tour in celebration of the track, kicking off the run at Cambridge Hotel in Newcastle on Friday 4 October. They'll then head to Melbourne, Hobart, Sydney and Brisbane, wrapping up in Byron Bay.
