"Marking Sounds Australia's 10th year with a show at SummerStage was a long term dream realised."
New Yorkers got to experience some of the finest musicians Australia has to offer this past Saturday with Sounds Australia throwing their revered event, The Aussie BBQ, to Central Park.
"Marking Sounds Australia’s 10th year with a show at SummerStage was a long term dream realised," shared the organisation when speaking with The Music today.
"Watching New York music industry and a crowd of over 4,000 people revelling in live sets from AB Original with surprise special guest Mojo Juju, Hermitude, The Teskey Brothers, Tkay Maidza, San Cisco and WAAX in the middle of Central Park felt like a great win for Australian music.
"Our artists are some of Australia’s greatest cultural ambassadors and we were thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with the Consul General New York and Australia Council For The Arts to showcase their talent as part of the internationally renowned SummerStage 2019 program."
