Vance Joy, Alison Wonderland, Cut Copy, RUFUS and more have been announced on the US festival's line-up
The 2017 Austin City Limits festival announced its line-up this week and, amid the many, many, many artists named on the line-up, there's a seriously healthy dose of local talent making the trip to the States to strut their stuff at the annual event this October.
Way up the list is old mate Vance Joy, who has clearly exercised some kind of hypnotic spell of US audiences (lovely guy, but where's the new music?), with fellow Aussies Cut Copy, RUFUS (in their guise as RUFUS DU SOL) and Alison Wonderland following closely behind.
Plus, scattered throughout the roster, eagle eyes will spot inclusions for buzzing local acts Tash Sultana, Middle Kids, Methyl Ethel and Amy Shark, who just this morning earned herself some high-profile praise from former blink-182 mainstay Tom DeLonge.
The broader line-up is utterly stacked, with headliners including Jay Z, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chance The Rapper, The Killers and Gorillaz, as well as the likes of Ryan Adams, Solange, Foster The People, Tove Lo, Portugal. The Man, Crystal Castles, First Aid Kit, Angel Olsen, Danny Brown, The Lemon Twigs and an eye-watering number of other acts.
