Sydney’s annual hip hop festival 4ESydney will be celebrating 10 years this year, and today they have released their program filled with some of the city’s most exciting and emerging talent.
For ten years, 4ESydney dedicated itself to nourishing Australia’s unique hip-hop culture and the community that surrounds it. It’s been used as a unique platform to connect artists and community members with industry professionals and educators who can help spearhead the preservation of hip-hop culture in Australia.
For it’s 10-year celebration, 4ESydney – presented by Vyva Entertainment in partnership with Blacktown Arts, Blacktown City Council and Powerhouse – is embarking on a 10-week program full of public talks, workshops, poetry slams and performances from some of the country’s most prolific hip-hop talent, before closing the program with the annual 4ESydney Hip Hop Festival on November 23rd in Blacktown.
“2024 marks a major milestone for us, 10 years!” festival director Vyvienne Abla said in a statement.
“It’s a surreal but exciting feeling as we look back and reflect on a decade of community and growth, with a platform that has become a cornerstone of HipHop culture in this country.”
The lineup for the 4ESydney Hip Hop Festival fuses old and new school with OGs like B-Wise and DownSyde and new-gen artists like Sahxl, That Gurl Bella and Lara Andallo taking to the stage.
