Teams & Charities Announced For 2024 Ricochet Ball

The one-of-a-kind Ricochet Ball is returning for 2024, and today (May 20) the legends behind it announced the teams competing and the charities they’re raising funds for.

Launched in 2018 by musician KLP and PR stalwart Anna Fitzgerald, the Ricochet Ball is a netball tournament held within the Australian music industry to support a wide range of charities. This year’s game will be held on Friday June 14, going down at Perry Park in Alexandria from 12:30pm.

TMRW Music won the inaugural Ricochet Ball in 2018, while iHeartRadio took home the bacon in 2019 and 2022. Both are competing again this year, with the former raising money for Friends With Dignity, and the latter raising money for the Bayside Women’s Shelter.

Also competing this year are APRA (raising money for Green Music Australia), ARIA (Teach Us Consent), Aus Net Top Models (National Breast Cancer Foundation), Future Classic (Foodbank), Live Nation and Secret Sounds (Support Act), SCA (Lou’s Place), Sony Music (White Ribbon), Sportify (Gurrumul Yunupingu Foundation), Sweat It Out (Women’s & Girls’ Emergency Centre), and Universal Music (Musicians Making A Difference).

In announcing the 2024 Ricochet Ball, KLP said: “We are so pumped to announce Ricochet Ball will happen again this year! After the last event in November 2022 we had so many teams contact us keen to take part again. We hope to raise over $25,000 this year which will take our total amount raised to over $100,000 since we launched back in 2018.”

Fitzgerald added to the sentiment: “Ricochet Ball is always such a fun day out for the music industry and a great way to raise money for a range of worthy charities. The standard of netball always blows my mind. This year we need a team to beat iHeartRadio who have won the past two tournaments – so everyone needs to get training now!”
