Confidence, which has already been certified six times Platinum, has experienced an enormous resurgence on digital streaming platforms, with the audience in the US overtaking Australia for the first time. The song’s streams have increased 1060% and 2912% on Spotify and Apple Music, respectively.
On playlists, Confidence is now #1 and #10 on Spotify's Viral 50 - USA and Viral 50 - Global. The single has also entered the UK's Independent Single Breakers Chart #19.
The Music’s Stephen Green recently predicted Confidence going viral globally after finding the track increasing in views and uses on TikTok.
Green wrote about Ocean Alley’s resurgence, “Prior to the TikTok trend, Ocean Alley were increasing by around 200 followers a day. However, from 1 November, the numbers have taken off, now rising by more than 2000 per day. Monthly listeners are rising at the rate of 11,000+ per day, a statistic that was flat up until the TikTok trend and is about to soar past two million.”
It’s been a massive year for Ocean Alley, who sold more than 42,000 tickets across their Australian headline shows, plus a further 35,000 tickets sold across 34 shows in the UK, Europe, North America and New Zealand.
