Secret Sounds has announced that the Brisbane leg of its upcoming Heaps Good festival run has been axed.
The festival from the team behind Falls and other beloved events will still take place in Melbourne and Adelaide in Dec/Jan with Flume, Foals, The Avalanches and more, but the Brisbane date at Sandstone Point has been cancelled.
Organisers shared the “not so good news” about the Jan 2 show via the event’s ticketing page.
“We are having some supply chain and event equipment issues resulting in us not being able to deliver the best possible show for Brisbane,” they said.
“We are incredibly sorry, please expect full refunds for your Brisbane tickets to the purchasing credit card in the next week or do.
“We are working on two replacement shows in Brisbane city, stay tuned. Once again, we are so sorry for any disappointment and inconvenience caused.”

After debuting in Adelaide this past January, Heaps Good was set to expand to Melbourne and Brisbane in 2023/24, filling the gap left by Falls.
The festival was initially launched as a Falls spin-off for Adelaide concertgoers, hosting many of the acts appearing on its 2022/23 line-up, such as Arctic Monkeys, Peggy Gou, CHVRCHES and Jamie xx.
When the 2023/24 events were announced, Heaps Good producer Paul Piticco said: “The inaugural Heaps Good was such a great day and we’re thrilled to take it on the road to more music lovers around the country over the coming New Year.
“Heaps Good is all about keeping it simple... single-day shows in convenient locations with great artists and your best mates.”
