Eora-based photography and videography studio Good Loco is celebrating Australian Music Month in a big way by offering up their creative space for independent artists completely free of charge.
In addition to the free studio hire, the senior management team – consisting of Rob Carroll, Nick Moran and Rick Bridgman – is offering one-on-one artist career consultations to help musicians navigate the inner workings of the music industry.
Good Loco has operated as a vibrant creative space in Marrickville for many years now, allowing an array of local musicians and photographers the space and facilities to produce their creative projects to their fullest potential.
Dom Dolla, Bootleg Rascal, BVT and Hayden James have each had the pleasure to utilise the space for photoshoots helmed by Pat Stevenson, Rhys Bennett and Kate Cornish. Now, the roster is evermore expansive, with the callout for independent artists to take advantage of the opportunity to utilise the space and the expertise of the management team without concern over financial barriers.
In a press release, Bridgman said the motivation behind the program goes back to the humble beginnings of Good Loco.

“The past few years, we've opened our studio doors in Australian Music Month to help indie artists, and along the way, got to talk to some incredible acts, (some) in-depth, about what issues and challenges these emerging acts are experiencing,” he said.
“This year, post-shoot, there's an opportunity to catch up with us properly (Rob, Nick or myself) to provide deeper guidance on taking their career to the next level.”
The space comes equipped with one of the largest cycloramas in the inner west, as well as a diverse range of lighting gear, makeup and dressing room, vocal booth, props, bathroom, kitchen and greenroom with recreational facilities and a bar. While artists are encouraged to provide their own cameras and camera operators, the good folks at Good Loco are more than happy to connect you with photographers and videographers within their network.
