Jason Slack and Travis Dragani claimed they attempted to settle the matter privately but wouldn’t comment further while the issue was heading to court.

Former members of The Superjesus, lead guitarist Jason Slack and drummer Travis Dragani are suing lead singer Sarah McLeod and bassist Stuart Rudd for claims of lost wages and superannuation payments.
The Australian reports that the pair claim they’re owed over $25,000 each. That figure comes from court documents issued to the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court, with Slack and Dragani alleging they weren’t paid for promotional work or rehearsal time with the band.
The Superjesus’ website states that Slack joined the band in 2015. Dragani joined The Superjesus in 2016; the two left the band in 2022.
Slack and Dragani argue that their verbal agreement with McLeod and Rudd – shareholders of a company under the band’s name – was “unfair”. According to their statement of claim, Slack and Dragani received $500 each for club or private performances, while festival gigs earned them $1,000 each, no matter the amount of time on stage.
Under the verbal contract, Slack and Dragani were ineligible for rehearsals and promotional work payments. In addition to those terms, they claim that intellectual property remained solely with McLeod and Rudd.
The pair also allege that they were “unpaid” for a tour in Brazil, as well as photo ops and music videos shot between 2018 and 2022. Slack and Dragani are seeking over $20,000 each in remuneration and another two payments - $6,357.09 for Slack and $5,948.23 for Dragani - in superannuation.
