Dave & Central Cee Spend Second Week At #1 With 'Sprinter'

The run at the top has only just begun for the pair of UK rappers, who also hold for a second stay in England, Ireland and New Zealand. While adding a #1 debut in Switzerland this past week, it has also landed its first week in Sweden and Canada at #5 (nothing in the US yet), climbs to #2 in Denmark, and lands at #6 in both Austria and Norway – while it also takes out a first-week entry at #11 on the World Singles Chart. 

Sprinter sold over 13,000 units in Australia in its first week, the highest tally since Miley's tenth week at the top (March 27th). Plus it's the first of six non-movers in the Top 10 this week, as Morgan Wallen remains at #2 with Last Night – which also retains the US #1 spot for a tenth week. Wallen's album, One Thing At A Time, dips one spot locally to #6. It remains at the top in Canada for its 13th week, and finally cracked double-figures in the US as it holds the #1 spot for a tenth week.

This is followed by the only new peak within the Top 10 this week – up two spots to #3 is Fast Car by Luke Combs, which is newly certified ▲Platinum in sales (it achieved Gold five weeks ago on May 22) and surpasses the original Tracy Chapman version's peak position of #4 (which she achieved on June 27, 1988 – just ten days shy of 35 years ago). Fast Car also hits new chart heights of #4 in Canada (LW-5) and the US (LW-8), while it bounds back up in New Zealand (from #31 to #20) and slightly moves in England (#91 to #90, HP-54). 

Three holding tracks all spend their third week in the same position, starting with Miley Cyrus' Flowers at #4, then Daylight by David Kushner at #6. Kill Bill by SZA (with Doja Cat, who issued a new track on Friday called Attention) follows at #8, also cracking half-a-year in the Top 10 (26 weeks). Continuing the even-number-holds at #10 for a second week is the Lil' Durk and J. Cole track All My Life. 

The #3 and #5 positions swap places this week, with FIFTY FIFTY's Cupid, down two spots to #5. Rising back up two places each are Boy's A Liar (Pt. 2) by PinkPantheress and Ice Spice (from #9 to #7) and Die For You by The Weeknd and Ariana Grande (#11 to #9) – returning to the Top 10, the latter scores a 15th week in that section of the chart.

TOP 20: 

Taylor Swift has her two Top 50 entries this week lying within the Top 20, as Anti-Hero moves back up one spot to #11, and her recent Ice Spice-added track Karma (HP-2, WI10-3a) halves its position from last week and falls down seven places to #14 – the only Top 10 dropout for this week. As It Was by Harry Styles is back up three spots to #12, while up six places to a new peak of #13 is the next potential Top 10 country song, Something In The Orange by Zach Bryan. It had previously charted as high as #16 (on December 5, 2022 and January 30, 2023).

OneRepublic rebounds four places to #16 with I Ain't Worried. Calm Down by Rema and Selena Gomez – the six-week-running #1 song in Canada – is up one spot here to #17. It's followed by a dip to #19 for Miracles by Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding. The highest of Metro Boomin's five Top 50 entries this week is Am I Dreaming, which zooms up twelve places to a new peak of #20. This is the first of four tracks from the new Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse soundtrack to land in the Top 50.

TOP 30:

Metro Boomin' sees his only non-Spidey track on hold at #21 this week, as his team-up with The Weeknd and 21 Savage – Creepin' – is the first of two non-movers in this chart region. The other comes right after that at #22, Escapism by RAYE and 070 Shake. With the Barbie movie not out for another month (July 17 overseas, July 20 in Australia), the new Dua Lipa track Dance The Night falls back down nine places to land at #23. In late July, though, we could see the song rise back up. 

Two further Spider-Man tracks shoot their webs into the Top 30 this week, with the original film's hit single Sunflower (Post Malone and Swae Lee) jumping 15 places to #24 (it is featured in the new film at the start and end), while Calling by Metro Boomin' with (again) Swae Lee, NVA and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie flies up 17 places to land at #27. Kylie Minogue keeps delivering rises for her new single Padam Padam, up 11 spots to a new peak of #29. The song also jumped into the UK Top 10 this week (from #12 to #9), her first Top 10 there for this decade. It also gives her the record for a Top 10 UK entry in each of the past five decades (from the '80s to the 2020s). 

The second and final new certification this week comes at #25 for People by Libianca, now ▲Platinum and down two spots, while last week's new entry for The Weeknd with Playboi Carti and Madonna – the second track from his TV seriesThe Idol, Popular – drops four spots to #28. It's followed by another four-place slip for Players by Coi Leray, moving down to #30. 

TOP 40: 

Ed Sheeran has his two Top 50 entries lying within the Top 40 this week, as Eyes Closed falls five spots to #32, and Shivers down by four places to #37. The only new peak within this chart region is another Spidey/Metro Boomin' track, as Annihilate (featuring Swae Lee, Lil' Wayne and Offset) moves up five places to #33. Further big drops occur for Sure Thing by Miguel (#29 to #35) and Chemical by Post Malone (#31 to #38). The biggest decline within the chart this week goes to Lana Del Rey's Say Yes To Heaven, descending 14 rungs to lay at #39. 

TOP 50: 

There are no new songs debuting in the Top 50 this week, but a fourth and final new Spider-Man entry – Self Love by Metro Boomin' and Coi Leray – rises up from last week's lower-50 entry spot of #65 to land at new peak of #41 this week. The soundtrack for the film rises to a new peak of #2 on the Albums chart, thanks not only to its cinema release but its online streaming availability. 

The two other rising tracks within the Top 50 are an eight-place rise to #44 for the Elton John and Dua Lipa track Cold Heart (PNAU Remix), which only fell out of the 50 for the first time ever in its 96 weeks of charting last week (when it fell to #52). Back up five places, to #45, is The Weeknd's Save Your Tears. The final non-mover within the chart this week, resting at #46, is The Killers with Mr. Brightside.

Tiësto and Tate McRae fall seven spots to #42 with their track 10:35, its lowest Top 50 position since it first entered on January 9. It's followed by a six-place drop to #43 for Tyler, The Creator and Kali Uchis with See You Again, and a five-spot dip to #48 for Sam Smith and Kim Petras with Unholy. George Ezra's Green Green Grass also faces an eight-place slip down to #49.
