Doja Cat Paints Australia Red For A Whopping Eighth Week At #1

Paint The Town Red now equals the eight weeks racked up by Last Night by Morgan Wallen between April 17th and June 5th when it also logged eight consecutive weeks at #1 locally, while the current leader for 2023 is the twelve weeks straight for Miley Cyrus and Flowers (Jan 23rd to April 10th). Plus, for this decade, the Doja Cat Red track ties with As It Was by Harry Styles (eight broken weeks from April 11th through to August 22nd, 2022), with all three eight-week-running tracks tied as the sixth longest #1's for this decade. 

Doja Cat's track also retains the #1 spot for a ninth week in New Zealand, plus a sixth week in Canada and a third overall stay in The U.S.A., and while the track is slowing down in sales (it was as high as 17k in sales, now it's down to 13k), its nearest rival is still further away from topping the charts, as Tate McRae holds at #2 this week with her track greedy, while also not-moving from the #3 spot is Kenya Grace and Strangers, which is still the #1 Dance Single locally and now the new #1 single in her home country of England this week, creating a new self-written chart-feat in the process. 

Drake sees his new album For All The Dogs debut at #1 on the Albums Chart this week, and 19 of the 23 tracks land within the Top 100, with ten of those debuting within the Top 50 and of those he scores three inside of the Top 10, starting with the #4 placement of First Person Shooter feat. J. Cole, following at #6 with IDGAF with rapper Yeat and then coming in at #9 is Virginia Beach, which now gives Drake his 31st, 32nd and 33rd Top 10 entries in Australia (30 as lead, 3 as guest vocalist). Prada for cassö x RAYE x D-Block Europe remains at #5 for a third straight week and is also the fourth and final non-mover within the Top 10 this week, plus it's now Gold (●) in sales, while the track remains at #1 in Ireland for a third straight week, it lands new peaks of #2 in England, #18 in New Zealand, #69 in Canada and after two weeks of sitting at #2 in Germany it's down to #3 this week, but a new expanded remix with David Guetta and Hypaton was issued on Friday, while the video clip for the original remix dropped in the past seven days too, so those two elements might break it out of its #5 stranglehold next week. 

Everything Zach Bryan within the chart is rising this week, with two Top 50 and two lower fifty entries, so let's start with his duet alongside Kacey Musgraves and I Remember Everything which is up two places to a new peak of #7, with further new peaks in Ireland (#6) and England (#29), while it's down three to #13 in New Zealand and at #6 in both The U.S.A. and Canada this week. Down four spots each thanks to the Draking (Drake drenching) we got this week are Taylor Swift with Cruel Summer and Morgan Wallen with Last Night to #8 and #10 respectively, while Morgan's track is now scoring its 33rd week within the Top 10 (the ninth longest of all time in Australia). 

TOP 20: 

NEW PEAKS begin with the former #12 peak and now a new #11 peak for Zach Bryan and Something In The Orange, up two spots from last week, while lower down he rises back up with Hey Driver (78 to #64, HP-53) and re-enters with Dawns (#100, second week in Top 100, former peak of #97 on Sept. 4th). The second new peak within the Top 20 sees the Tyla track Water channel up the chart twelve places to #20; thanks to the song's recent video release the track is also now scoring new peaks in England (10 to #7), Ireland (21 to #18), remains at #4 in New Zealand, jumps in Canada (67 to #53) and debuts in The U.S.A. (#67). 

The first two of three Top 10 dropouts this week sees Olivia Rodrigo and her vampire (HP-1x1, WI10-14) down four places to #12, followed by Dua Lipa and Dance The Night (HP-3x2, WI10-11) also down four, to land at #14. In between those two is a fifty-two-place rebound to #13 for the initial single released from the new Drake album called Slime You Out (HP-12, Sept. 25th), which lands one place lower than its initial entry spot four weeks ago. 

TOP 30: 

NEW PEAK goes to a climber from last week's lower fifty for Japanese-American artist Mitski and My Love Mine All Mine, which leaps up thirty-four places to a new chart height of #30, which is the only rising track within the Top 30 this week. Down eight places each are Daylight for David Kushner and Flowers by Miley Cyrus to #24 and #25 respectively, with David's track now clocking up 26 weeks (half a year) within the chart and Miley scoring 6x▲Platinum in sales, while a third eight-place drop sees Billie Eilish's former #1 What Was I Made for? down to #27, followed by a ten-place slump for FukUMean by Gunna to #28. 

TOP 40: 

There are no further rises or new peaks within the Top 50 this week, and Olivia Rodrigo drops down with her two final entries get him back! (24 to #29) and more so with bad idea right? (20 to #32). Taylor Swift is down to only two Top 50 entries this week, with her Anti-Hero track falling ten places to #33 (which will clock up one year next week), with further big declines occurring for Die For You by The Weeknd and Ariana Grande (25 to #34), I Ain't Worried by OneRepublic (26 to #37) and As It Was by Harry Styles (30 to #39). 

TOP 50: 

The third and final Top 10 dropout from last week is the Jungkook and Jack Harlow debut from last week and 3D, which declines thirty-four spots this week to land down at #41, followed by the lowest fall within this chart section, a five-place drop to #42 for Kill Bill by SZA, with the track newly certified at 5x▲Platinum in sales, with a ten place decline for another SZA entry in Snooze (34 to #44). 

Nine place drops occur for Rich Men of North Richmond (40 to #49) and the Doja Cat track Agora Hills (41 to #50), ten places each for both Mr. Brightside by The Killers (36 to #46) and Rush for Troye Sivan (33 to #43), while his other Top 50 entry Got Me Started takes a twenty-three place drop to #45, with both of those tracks potentially rising back up next week after he dropped his third studio album Something to Give Each Other on Friday (Oct. 13th), along with two new video-issued tracks in One of the Girls and What's the Time Where You Are?. The last two big drops are for Heat Waves (35 to #47) and Barbie World by Nicki Minaj, IceSpice and Aqua (29 to #48).
