“Music has the power to bring people together, and it’s an honour to be a part of an event that celebrates the incredible talent within Australia’s music industry.”
Brooke Boney and Tommy Little (ARIA)
The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) have formally unveiled the co-hosts for the 2023 ARIA Awards: TV presenter Brooke Boney and stand-up comic Tommy Little.
This year’s ceremony will be held on Wednesday, November 15, returning to the Hordern Pavilion in Eora/Sydney.
In a new format for the ARIAs, it will be first streamed live on Stan (starting at 5:00 pm AEDT), followed by a free-to-air broadcast on Nine later in the evening (7:30 pm). Highlights from the event – including live performances – will also be published on the official ARIAs YouTube channel, shared as they happen in real-time. The channel will also stream the ARIAs Red Carpet from 1:30 pm.
In a statement published by TV Tonight, Boney said of her role as one of this year’s hosts: “I’m absolutely thrilled to co-host the 2023 ARIA Awards alongside Tommy. Music has the power to bring people together, and it’s an honour to be a part of an event that celebrates the incredible talent within Australia’s music industry.
“Tommy and I can’t wait to bring our energy and love for music to the ARIA stage in Sydney, and we promise you a night filled with laughter, amazing performances, and plenty of celebrations. It’s going to be a night to remember!”
Little shared the excitement, adding in a statement of his own: “Brooke Boney and I are the perfect Yin and Yang. She is professional, articulate and extremely hardworking, so I guess I will just do the other bits. I absolutely love Australian music, but I am also tone deaf, so this is the closest I will ever get to an ARIA, and I can’t wait.”

Leading the nominations for the 2023 ARIA Awards is Genesis Owusu, who is up for a mind-blowing seven trophies. He’s followed closely by Dom Dolla, G Flip and Troye Sivan, each racking up six nominations; in an exclusive interview with Purple Sneakers, the former most EDM producer said of his nods: “It feels crazy. It honestly hasn't sunk in – I don't know if it's gonna sink in 'til I get there. I'm bugging out. I'm speechless, to be honest.”
Earlier this month, calls started building for Delta Goodrem to be inducted into the ARIAs Hall Of Fame. It was announced in September that 2023’s inductee would be Jet.
