The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) has introduced a new initiative named Collab.
ARIA announced the new venture on Instagram today (9 December) and described Collab as “groundbreaking.” A project designed to boost Australian music to the global stage, Aussie artists will team up with internationally renowned music producers in exclusive partnerships secured by ARIA’s Collab initiative.
The new project is set to combine “creativity, mentorship, and innovation” and create high-impact, export-ready hits that will push the boundaries of Australian music.
The announcement states that the first round of Collab will take place from Monday, 3 March, to Friday, 7 March 2025 and will feature Ebony Naomi Oshunrinde (aka WondaGurl).
WondaGurl, a Canadian record producer, songwriter, and record executive is the mastermind of the ARIA Platinum hit, Bitch Better Have My Money by Rihanna, and the ARIA Gold single Antidote by Travis Scott.
From Monday, 31 March, to Friday, 4 April 2025, Collab will head to Sydney and will star Tommy Brown (aka TBHITS).

An American rapper, songwriter, and producer, Brown is the Grammy-nominated producer behind Ariana Grande’s 7 Rings and thank u, next, among more of her hits.
ARIA states that Collab was made possible with the support of Music Australia and ensures “participating artists and teams have access to world-class opportunities, fostering creativity and opening new doors for Australian music on a global scale.”
Applications for the inaugural Collab program are now open and close on Friday, 31 January. Successful artists will be named on Monday, 17 February.
In other ARIA news, this year’s ARIA Awards took place last month.
Highlighting Australian talent, Royel Otis (who won four awards) and Troye Sivan (who won the Album of the Year and Best Solo Artist awards) dominated this year's awards.
Elsewhere, Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers received the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist Award, Angie McMahon took home the Best Independent Release Award for Light, Dark, Light Again, and Royel Otis were named Best Group.
