In 2023, Gena Rose Bruce experienced a monumental year, marked by the international release of her sophomore album, "Deep Is The Way," through Dot Dash Records. The album earned the coveted titles of Double J and PBS feature album of the week, solidifying her status in the music industry. Gena embarked on a nationwide tour with her band, captivating audiences with her live performances.

Gena's delicate yet powerful vocals shine in tracks like "Foolishly In Love" and "Deep Is the Way," the latter featuring a collaboration with Bill Callahan. Her songs sway between longing, contentment, and mysticism, all while maintaining a sense of poetic subtlety. Many music enthusiasts liken her to the Australian response to the likes of Angel Olsen.

Her overseas journey took her to London, where she embarked on her first-ever international headline tour, showcasing her talent throughout the UK and performing at iconic venues like Rough Trade Records. Gena's presence graced renowned festivals such as The Great Escape and End of the Road in the UK, as well as Germany's Reeperbahn Music Festival.

Furthermore, Gena Rose Bruce has been nominated for the Best Solo Artist award at the Victorian Music Awards, a testament to her growing acclaim. She also treated her fans to a new EP titled "Lighting Up," featuring reworked versions of album tracks in collaboration with The Budapest Art Orchestra. Throughout her career, Gena has shared stages with internationally acclaimed artists like Beck, Paolo Nutini, Kevin Morby, Jayson and Orville Peck.
