West Aussie indie rockers cap off a huge year with silky smooth new single & trippy video.
Not content with dropping a dope album (that we found out all about here) and playing non-stop shows around the country (including Bigsound) as well as their triple j like a version, Death By Denim are saying goodbye to 2022 with a funky new single and tripped out video, with Draped In Vapour out today.
Inspired by late night conversations in smoker’s (vaper’s!?) areas, the song has a slightly more r&b flavour than what we’ve heard from the four-piece previously, with the band explaining “’Draped in Vapour’ is a dive into the sensory plain, a late 90s/early 2000s smooth RnB inspired groove that gallops and trots through arpeggiated melodies - breathing a new dynamic into a familiar sound explored in previous DBD tracks such as “Wiggy” and “Out of Habit”.
The single comes alongside a psychedelic music video that captures the late night vibe perfectly, featuring live footage of the guys processed with a tonne of visual effects taking you to a late night live music joint in your mind.
