Fresh off releasing their new EP, Eora/Sydney-based electronic duo drop a dynamic & intimate live version of lead single ‘Salt’ featuring Odette.
As much as we love intricately produced electronic music, nothing beats the human touch of hearing and seeing that music played live… which is exactly what This Week In The Universe (TWITU) have done with the new live in studio version of their latest single Salt featuring ARIA-nominated singer-songwriter Odette, with the video premiering on Pilerats today!
Lifted from their new EP everything is what we thought it was, standout cut Salt sees shimmering & swelling synths meet a head-nod inducing backbeat building to big, commanding drums, with Odette’s ethereal, striking vocals adding an organic yet experimental touch with some awesome processing and effects going on.
Bringing this energy to the studio, the live version offers a glimpse into the hardware world of TWITU, with a myriad of synths, acoustic and digital drums in the mix, and Odette showcasing her stunning range and delivery in a live setting.
Co-produced by Odette and TWITU, Salt marks Odette’s first new music since 2021, with a remix of the Salt set for a November release. In the meantime, check out the live version premiering on Pilerats today:
