"A truly haunting tale."
If you can’t wait for Steve Smyth’s new EP to drop tomorrow, then perhaps a new single will tide you over until release day.
Taken from the Blood EP, new single Gone For Good debuts via a beautifully shot new clip, premiering today via The Music.
“Gone For Good is a truly haunting tale tracing human empathy and discovery against a backdrop of heartache and pain,” Smyth told The Music.
“Its focus is not on the loss of love or pain, but the journey of rediscovery after the aching has subsidised.
“The filming of the video, which was somewhat fortuitous, came about as a friend came to the recording session to simply test out his fancy new camera. What you see in the clip is no smoke and mirrors, it’s just as the EP recording was.
“I feel the video has the energy of a ghost in the session, we were connecting on a tightrope, we kept our sense on the precipice of the song and he on the filming and the clip is that union between us in the space.”
