"One of the best weeks of my life."

More Rumours More Rumours

The new single from Melbourne alt rockers Rumours encapsulates what the band is all about.

Premiering today via The Music, the music video for If Only You Could Feel Something Too, taken from the band’s forthcoming EP of the same name, was filmed between lockdowns.

“Jackson, Ben and I travelled to Brisbane to knock out a music video with Colin Jeffs,” guitarist Harry Coote says.

“While there was a bit of stress with borders locking down it was one of the best weeks of my life. It felt less like a music video and someone just filming us hanging out and having a blast with some mates, new and old!

“The EP, for which this is the title track, has been a long process as we absolutely needed to make sure it was perfect. While the main theme of the EP drew from expressionism and being comfortable in yourself we also realised that sometimes you need to be uncomfortable to make a change, so we wanted to make sure we weren't holding any aspect of ourselves back for this release.

“If we are asking people to be 100% themselves then we had to give that exact same energy. We had to say things to each other as friends we had kept to ourselves. We had to challenge each other to be better and we had to be completely vulnerable. Through this though it has only strengthened our understanding of who we are as artists as well as who we are as individuals.”
