“We wanted the video to feel surreal and uncomfortable, but still light and hopefully whimsical and absurd enough to make people laugh."
Adelaide rockers Life Pilot wanted their new music video to make people “feel surreal and uncomfortable”.
The video for Pretty Like A Pistol does just that, but also offers a lot more than one might think after viewing it for the first time.
“On the surface, the clip is a bunch of nonsensical scenes, with no obvious storyline, seeming to lean more toward the absurd chaos that Life Pilot is known for than anything deep or meaningful,” drummer Eli Green told The Music.
“Digging a little deeper though, within the scenes are small commentaries on our own experiences of our youth. For example, spending time glued to video games, ignoring the happenings of the world around us.

Life Pilot will hit the road in November in support of the new single; all the details of which you can find in theGuide.
