"The song felt darker and more static than what we’ve recorded before, and so I wanted to recreate that texturally through the video."
Jack Davies & The Bush Chooks are back with new music and have shared their brand new video today, premiering exclusively with The Music.
Dubbed Inner City Lights, the track is the latest from the WA group (who have been firm favourites of The Music team since their stellar BIGSOUND 2019 appearances) and another taste of their forthcoming Shadows & Sounds Of The Night EP which is due for release later this year.
"It started as more of a jam track, wanting to explore a more rhythmic and textured sound," said Davies of the new track.
"The song itself is sort of an angsty musing on feeling lost on a night out. The recording was built on the live take, trying to capture a more uncut sound."
"The song felt darker and more static than what we’ve recorded before, and so I wanted to recreate that texturally through the video," he told The Music about the video.
"With longer, more textured shots and playing with the use of shadows and light, movement and stillness."
