This week’s best music videos feature everything from open mic comedy club vibes, hot and steamy gym rendezvous, swarms of 3D cats, bizarre twists and more.
Music videos are artistic extensions of the songs themselves, with many visual accompaniments becoming just as, if not more iconic than the song it was created for. As usual, some of our favourite songs of the week also had some of our favourite videos, with this week's list including the likes of Alex Lahey, Death Valley Girls, Jen Cloher, Geese, The Go! Team, Yves Tumor and more!

Lahey's back and catchier than ever on guitar driven new single Good Time (that we talked about a bit more over here), featuring a super fun music video based around an open mic comedy club, capturing everything from the cringe to the killing of comedy. Lahey's new album The Answer Is Always Yes is set for a May 19 release.
As L.A.'s inimitable and all around amazing Death Valley Girls gear up for their fifth studio album Islands In The Sky, the group dropped the fuzzy, psychedelic single Magic Powers alongside a surreal video game and silent film influenced video featuring magic mushrooms, magic potions, magic wizards, magic shoes.... yeah, it's magic.
We've been waiting six years for a new solo album from Rose (formerly of Crystal Stilts, Dum Dum Girls and Vivian Girls), and her latest single and video combo have us even more hyped for Love As Projection, out March 10. A powerful slice of exploratory synthpop, Sixteen Ways features a very 80s-esque music video that sees a cast of colourfu characters carry out choreography with a healthy dash of psychedelic editing.
With a title like Cowbuy Nudes, the latest single from Brooklyn indie rockers on the rise Geese, you'd expect the video to feature either cowboys or nudity... and in a way, the bizarre, dichotomous video features both!
Easily the steamiest video of the week came from Jen Cloher (that we covered in more detail here) and her new single My Witch, with the video steeped in sexual tension between Cloher and Camp Cope's Georgia Maq in a sultry gym setting, before transitioning to a late night spa party that features cameos from Mo'Ju, Kira Puru, Alice Skye & Lay The Mystic.
The winner of the most wonderfully bizarre video of the week has to go to electronic experimentalist Kate NV and her new single meow chat. Late 90s style low resolution 3D polygon graphics are the order of the day, with a video that more than lives up the the song's name as digital cats scurry across digital keyboards.
The genre-blurring Noir made a statement this week as he announced his long-awaited sophomore album, with MotherFather set for an April 14 release, seven years on from Life Is Beautiful. Featuring big time fave Sampa The Great. A slow burning style-fusing track that builds to an epic chorus (and Sampa's guest verse), the monochrome video manages to capture the track's vibe perfectly.
A month out from her new album Manzanita, Cleveland shows her playful side on the video for the ethereal and majestic A Ghost. Inspired by the prank show Just For Laughs, the video for A Ghost sees Cleveland play the role of the titular ghost in a range of mischievous escapades.
Ever consistent, a new single from The Go! Team = a dope new psychedelic collage style video. The last single from their new album Get Up Sequence Part Two (out today at date of publication!), The Me Frequency sees the English band team up with the Star Feminine Band out of Benin, all of whom feature in the fun and trippy video.
Rounding out a big week of album announces and awesome videos is the enigmatic Yves Tumor, with a Gulliver's Travel inspired music video dropping alongside the new single of poppy-post-punk flavours, with new record Praise A Lord Who Chews But Which Does Not Consume; (Or Simply, Hot Between Worlds) out March 17.
