Music videos are artistic extensions of the songs themselves, with many visual accompaniments becoming just as, if not more iconic than the song it was created for. As usual, some of our favourite songs of the week also had some of our favourite videos, with this week's list including Angel Du$t, Annie Hamilton, Baauer, Goat, Jada Weazel, Motez, Rainbow Chan, San Cisco, Temps and Winten.

Justice Tripp's other band than isn't Trapped Under Ice deliver a rollicking new cut of rock & roll with a video featuring a muppet-like character going on a drug fuelled adventure, featuring a cameo from comedian/ska enthusiast/loveable goofball, Ian Fidance. Angel Du$t's new album Brand New Soul is out September 9 via Pop Wig.

Annie Hamilton - Dynamite ●~*

Acclaimed Eora/Sydney-based artist Annie Hamilton's new single of off-kilter pop was co-produced by Jake Webb (Methyl Ethel), while the video sees Annie on a desert adventure interspersed with vintage cartoon footage.

Baauer - ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Baaue's new dance floor banger features an extremely striking and effective video, featuring a slowly zooming out close-up of an older couple passionately making out, featuring a very conspicuous Baauer "hiding" in a tree on boom mic duties.

Goat - Unemployment Office

Cult fave Swedish psych-rockers announced the follow-up to last year's Oh Death album with a hypnotic new cut and black & white video featuring a corpse paint wearing protagonist. Goat's new EP Medicine is out October 13 via Rocket Recordings.

Jada Weazel - Hands of Addiction

Naarm-based First Nations' artist on the rise releases a sleek & sultry cut of atmospheric r&b and a cinematic music video that captures the emotional themes of Jada's vocals. Jada Weazel's debut EP No Peace is out September 1 via EMI.

Motez - Make Way feat. Elsy Wameyo

Veteran Aussie producer Motez teams up with emerging producer/singer/rapper Elsy Wameyo for a driving new cut of four to the floor sounds alongside a sci-fiction-esque music video that utilises VR drawing, 3D modelling, live generated and audio reactive elements, and AI image generation.

Rainbow Chan - Seven Sisters

Long time fave Naarm/Melb-based producer & vocalist Rainbow Chan made her return with an infectious new single of electro-pop alongside a cinematic music video with an incredible colour palette.

San Cisco - Under The Light

Beloved Boorloo trio teamed up with GUM to write their latest cut of catchy indie pop with a beach & theme park themed video featuring Two Rock's iconic King Neptune statue, a leftover relic from a long forgotten water park. San Cisco are touring Australia this November and December.

temps - firstbirthday

Hot on the heels of his acclaimed debut album PARTY GATOR PURGATORY, James Acaster is already back as Temps with a new single of leftfield hip hop and retro adventure video game-inspired video. Temps' new EP AFTER PARTY is out September 8 via Bella Union.

Winten - Waving To My Girl

Naarm/Melbourne indie-pop artist shares the title track from her forthcoming debut album, a wistful, mellow cut with a nostalgic, treasure hunt inspired music video. Winten's new album Wave To My Girl is out August 18.
