While there are usually a whole bunch of names to digest when it comes to Splendour and its sideshows, we thought we'd get to know some of the acts not up the pointy end, though by no means less awesome.

Have you played Splendour before?
First time playing Splendour. We’ve heard that it’s an amazing festival and key to the Australia market.
Are you one to camp at festivals and have the full experience?
Gotta say no on the camping unless we sleep on the tour bus, ha ha.
Will you get much time in Australia beyond Splendour and your sideshows?
We will have a little extra time. Hoping to see if Bari [Bass]’s artwork is still standing in the Ksubi store in Sydney from the last time he was here playing with Theophilus London.
What’s been your favourite backstage moment during a festival?
Freestyle cypher in a trailer with DRAM and Chance The Rapper. There’s a voice memo somewhere in the world.
What kind of setlist can we expect from you at Splendour and your sideshows?
Bringing the heat and nothing less at all of our performances!

Have you played Splendour before?
No, we've actually never had the chance to play there up until now but we've heard great things through friends that live out in Oz. We're all super excited!
Are you one to camp at festivals and have the full experience?
It's getting less frequent but we've always loved making the most of the full festival experience over the years. Glastonbury is one that without fail we'll always stay and camp at for the weekend, but there are others too that we still indulge in from time to time.
What’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen at a festival?
A dude wearing a leopard print mankini, doing a cartwheel while pleasuring himself... 🤔
Will you get much time in Australia beyond Splendour and your sideshows?
Yeah, we've managed to extend the trip by a few days, so we're going to head down to Byron Bay after Splendour and spend some time getting to know the area. Luckily our friend lived there for seven years, so we should have some good inside knowledge while we're there.
What kind of setlist can we expect from you at Splendour and your sideshows?
I think it's possibly a bit early on in our career for 'greatest hits' but we'll definitely be playing a more colourful and energetic set at Splendour, full of our favourites. We'll be adding in some more of the laidback stuff for the sideshows.

We’ve never played Splendour before! We’ve never been to Australia before and we are so excited and grateful to Splendour for bringing us over here for the first time.
Are you one to camp at festivals and have the full experience?
Spencer [Fox] is the only one of us who’s ever camped out at a music festival, and it happened in the midst of his dubstep phase (ha!). I have tremendous respect for people who commit on that level, but I also love comfort and I don’t think I could do it!
Will you get much time in Australia beyond Splendour and your sideshows?
Yes! We’ll have a few days off and we are desperately hoping to hold a koala and visit the Bondi Beach Icebergs pool!
What kind of setlist can we expect from you at Splendour and your sideshows?
We always want our shows to feels energetic and fun, regardless of whether the audience is super familiar with our music. Right now we love playing songs from our new album, so the major difference is just that we’ll have more time to play songs from Guppy at the sideshows.

Have you played Splendour before?
We haven’t played Splendour before. But we’ve heard from our Australian fans and other artists that it is THE festival to play in Australia, so we’re really looking forward to it.
Are you one to camp at festivals and have the full experience?
Definitely. From the age of about 16, I went to Glastonbury ten years in a row with friends, which was a lot of fun.
Will you get much time in Australia beyond Splendour and your sideshows?
Yeah we’re getting there a few days early so should have a bit of time. Hoping to have a good look around Melbourne which we’ve heard is great. Going to catch up with a friend who moved out to Sydney. See a beach and a kangaroo.
What kind of setlist can we expect from you at Splendour and your sideshows?
The festival will of course be the greatest hits. Pulling out all the classics. Ha. Then the sideshows will dive a little deeper.

We've never played but have always wanted to, have heard a lot of great things about Splendour.
Will you get much time in Australia beyond Splendour and your sideshows? If so, what else are you hoping to see?
Yeah we're going to be there for a bit, playing a show at the Sydney Opera House so will be exciting to see the inside of that place, only been outside.
What kind of setlist can we expect from you at Splendour and your sideshows?
We typically play the more energetic stuff for festivals and we have a new record coming out the same month so there will be a lot of new songs as well.

No, first time! I've heard that it's a pretty epic festival and I couldn't be more excited.
Are you one to camp at festivals and have the full experience?
I'm actually not a huge festival type but I do love the communal aspect that happens when so many music lovers come together for the shared experience. It's like a hive mind and it's all the more intense.
Will you get much time in Australia beyond Splendour and your sideshows?
I'm not sure how much time I'll have but, if I have time, I do really want to experience Melbourne and Sydney in between shows. I've been wanting to go all my life so I'm super stoked.
What kind of setlist can we expect from you at Splendour and your sideshows?
This will probably be a lot of people's first introduction to our music so we'll want to play songs that work in a festival setting. We want to make it accessible for someone who has no idea who we are to get a feel for our music.
