“It’s about desperately trying to hold on to a relationship that is too far gone."
Described as the “break-up song to end all break-up songs”, the latest single from Hussy Hicks packs one hell of a punch.
The new cut from the Australian blues and roots act follows on from a huge few months, with the duo touring across Europe and the US, while also appearing on festivals such as Bluesfest and Blues On Broadbeach.
“I really wanted to create a song that built into something completely heart wrenching and raw like the Annie Lennox song, Why,” vocalist Leesa Gentz said.
“It’s about desperately trying to hold on to a relationship that is too far gone and all the pain that is associated with a break-up.
“There is something really moving and cathartic about reflecting on those past experiences that may have been hurtful, but were important in making us who we are today.”
Take A Look Over is the first taste of Hussy Hicks’ forthcoming sixth LP.
