Central Coast indie-rockers Elliot The Bull are now two weeks into their six-week unveiling of new EP Beast, steadily releasing its songs over the next little while, and The Music is proud to premiere the second song to be unleashed, It Doesn't Feel.
Coming on the heels of the EP's title track, It Doesn't Feel builds on the earlier taste to further paint a picture of how ETB have been developing over the course of creating the release. Propulsive drums, elegant vocals and atmospheric instrumentation combine to create an accessible but intelligent composition that features some neat little melodic quirks and rhythmic change-ups throughout.
Stay with us here, but there is just the slightest hint of Vheissu-era Thrice coming through on this song, and even then, only in terms of quieter stuff like Red Sky.
If you dig it (and Beast, the song, which you can hear at SoundCloud), you can get out to an Elliot The Bull Show in the near future — they set off in service of the EP from Thursday 1 December, when they start their tour in Brisbane. They've also got dates pencilled in for Port Macquarie Melbourne, Sydney and a post-new-year outing at home, at the Central Coast's Long Jetty Hotel.

The tour almost didn't happen because people are the worst and the band suffered a break-in at their home studio in August, but as so often happens these days, crowdfunding came to the rescue and saw most of what was taken be replaced.
So, if you're able, make sure you get out and show Elliot The Bull how appreciative you are that they were able to bounce back through the kindness of friends and strangers and make it to your town after all.
