Inner Sydney-dwelling indie-pop luminary Pluto Jonze is following up the release of his debut album, Eject, last year with a sophomore EP effort in the near future, and to get the ball rolling nicely, we're stoked to bring you the premiere presentation of the clip for brand-spankin'-new single Sucker.
Picking up where earlier singles Eject and Plastic Bag In A Hurricane left off, albeit it fuzzier and more assured than before, Sucker was produced and recorded by Jonze at home in Redfern, with mixing assistance from renowned mononymous producer Magoo, and — for the first time — co-written with another artist; in this case, ex-Hungry Kids Of Hungary frontman Dean McGrath (now of Rolls Bayce).
The new single is Jonze's first release for the year — if you like what you see and hear above, you can catch him in action alongside Ball Park Music on the latter's current more-than-15-date national tour. Check the Gig Guide or see The Music App for all your requisite venue, date and ticketing information, and keep your eyes peeled for future releases on the way to EP #2.
