Stalwart Sydney outfit Palms have unveiled an affecting new clip for sweet'n'soft acoustic cut No More, taken from their recently released second studio full-length, Crazy Rack, and theMusic.com.au is proud to be hosting the premiere airing of the wistful video today.
The primary image in the clip is a single shot of frontman Al Grigg, seen from behind as he breezily strums out the song's lilting, laid-back chords. The video's real weight, however, is contained in the faded-out super-imposition of actual home-video footage from Grigg's childhood, punctuating the song's dreamy soundscape with a montage of memories, all friends and family and living rooms and seasides and weddings and evidence of a life lived and lived well, and all the associated bittersweetness therein.
Palms released Crazy Rack on 30 October via Ivy League; given how well it's done in less than a month, expect Palms to look to one-up the acclaim of this year to make 2016 their most successful so far. If you're yet to do so, make sure you're well placed to stay on top of the band's movements in the coming months by heading to Facebook and dropping them a Like.
