Naarm/Melbourne-based singer-songwriter drops her third single of the year of atmospheric & emotional, dreamy indie rock sounds.
Continuing their hot streak for 2023 is Naarm/Melbourne’s Nat Vazer who ahead of her forthcoming sophomore album has readied the title track as her third single of the year, with the atmospheric & emotional, dreamy indie rock sounds of Strange Adrenaline, premiering on Pilerats today a day ahead of release!
Packed with huge guitar riffs and attention grabbing leads and pairing drum machines with acoustic percussion, Strange Adrenaline builds to it’s epic & engaging choruses, with Vazer’s striking vocals exploring concepts of the unknown and searching for something bigger than yourself. Explaining the title and theme of the song, Vazer says “‘Strange Adrenaline’ were two words that jumped out at me one late night, while reading a Patti Smith novel. The phrase captures that feeling of when you’re on the brink of something terrifying but extraordinary”.
Meanwhile, Strange Adrenline the album is out October 6, and will expand on the themes of the single. “Each song on the album is a unique story told through the people, places and memories that have shaken me and stayed with me over time", says Vazer “In the world of “Strange Adrenaline”, there are 2 am diners where it’s too dangerous for lovers to hang, long drives back to childhood places, dark tales of Hollywood, recurring trauma, and visions of global warming and the end of days.”
