The latest offering from indie-pop maestro Ben Wright Smith is one that almost saw him in hot water with the authorities.
After dropping another collection of dreamy, infectious gems earlier this year with his debut album, The Great Divorce, Smith set out to produce a charming, DIY music video for single Hellion Heeled.
“We shot it out west in the more industrial parts of Melbourne,” Smith says. “You're not really supposed to film near the docks so they threatened to call the cops a few times."
The end result – which we have the pleasure of premiering today – is a tribute to Bob Dylan’s Subterranean Homesick Blues (“I had no idea how hard flicking all those cards would be though.”).
