South Sudanese-Australian MC, rapper, producer and all-around unforgettable performer POOKIE is taking her Pookie Party to Sydney (Eora) and Melbourne (Naarm) this April and May, curating essential line-ups for the music-loving community.
Headlined and curated by POOKIE, the shows arrive after the performer’s unreal 12 months, which consisted of releasing the anthemic Feel It In The Black, drill-inspired workout tune Talking Dis Dat, and her recent collaboration with DJ Nino Brown, Like Me.
The Perth (Boorloo)-based singer will host two late-night live music experiences to celebrate her journey and musicians making waves in Melbourne and Sydney. The first takes place at Melbourne’s The Gasometer (Friday, 19 April), and the second occurs at Sydney’s The Lansdowne on Friday, 10 May. You can find the line-ups below.
Tickets to the two rounds of Pookie Party are on sale now – you can find them here. First Nations fans are encouraged to get in touch for free entry.
Pookie Party follows POOKIE’s recent performances and appearances at MONA FOMA, BIGSOUND, SXSW Sydney, Meredith Music Festival, Groovin’ The Moo and Wildlands Festival.
