No Mono return with a gritty curveball single, Fever Highs

Ever since launching the collaborational project with 2017's Butterflies, No Mono – the combination of Big Scary/#1 Dads' Tom Iansek and Tom Snowdon – has brought nothing but excellence. Their recent debut album Islands Part 1 was an exploration into the brilliance of vocal-led minimalism, with feature singles such as Frostbitten uniting stripped-back and subtle productions with the angelic, swooning vocal of Snowdon, who on every single track, knocked it out of the park.

With a national tour to come over August and September (and a slot at Splendour In The Grass), the pairing are now back with their first post-album single, and if you were obsessed with Snowdon's vocal but wanted something a little more gripping and thrilling from the production – then they've got you covered. Fever Highs is dark and brooding, bringing together this warping, chunky production with Snowdon's vocal, which paces between quick-paced, spoken word-like to light and remarkable – like much of the album.

"We wrote Fever Highs when working on music for our debut offerings," Snowdon says on the single. "It's the other side of this project, a stark vibe with real gritty energy that is a big part of our live show and contrasts with the more introspective stories and atmospheres on Part 1 that are so intimate and sparse."
