Taken from their forthcoming debut LP Islands (Part 1) out via Pieater on May 4..
Look at this stage of the game if you're not in and around the Tom Snowdon and Tom Iansek's new project NO MONO...we feel sorry for you. They've been releasing some goddamn beautiful music for the past six or so months, including singles Butterflies and Violence Broken, and we've fallen in love each and every time a new piece of music comes out. Enter Tidal Fight, and if the facetious title of this article didn't give it away, it's another gem. Snowdon's somber, moving vocals once again hit with gut-wrenching intensity, ebbing and flowing with brooding electronic production, plus this time they've employed Ainslie Wills for a wonderful little cameo to push this track into the stratosphere. On the track, Snowdon says: "Tidal Fight is the track that inspired a lot of the ideas on the record. The words tell the story of moving away from a safe and familiar spot, like an old friendship or relationship, and into the unknown. It’s about starting over - about needing to break away from the known and become something else to stay above water."
Take a listen, and mark May 4 in your diary now - it's when their debut album Islands (Part 1) is released via Iansek's Pieater label (pre-order it now and check the full tracklist below).
