Presumably you’ve been to the Newtown Festival before, what’s your favourite memory? It's gotta be the dog show. Pugs! Frenchies! Staffies! Just non-stop joy. I love seeing a proud pug prancing around.
Lots of suburbs put on festivals, but Newtown Festival is always particularly huge - why do you think that is? There have always been great venues in the area, from the Sandringham to the Landsdowne, so it's a place people naturally gravitate towards if they want to have a good time. With the rest of the city destroyed through lockout laws, Newtown is invaluable.
Favourite spot at the festival to chill and watch the world go by? South end under the trees. Near the giant bubble guy.
What would be your entry into the dog show? A Dog dressed as a sushi. Classic. But strong.
What is it about the Inner West that inspires so much creativity? Cheap rent and warehouses. We are all going to look for a place where you can make noise and afford a space, and that's what Marrickville and the surrounding areas still offer. Let's hope it stays that way.
Of all the food stalls on offer at the Festival, what do you reckon is one we should definitely check out and why? Gozleme. Love those dreamy cheese breads.
When and where are you performing on the day? Essential stage at 4:20.
