"I wrote the song about losing your love for the thing you love most. All the scream lyrics are a nostalgic take of when I was in high school dreaming about playing in a band, and all the cleans are reflecting on my lockdown feelings. The radio presenter is “interviewing” the screams. It was an awesome idea from Schmidty and I think it adds a whole other element to the song." - Ben Smalley (Vocalist)
If you don't know Loose End, they are a Melbourne 5 piece with almost a cult-like following here in the Melbourne scene. Their friends and fans love them PASSIONATELY & they put on a fucking AMAZING live show.
'Pushing Daisies' is their latest single that was released around a month ago. We are so stoked to be premiering the music video for you.
Vocalist, Ben Smalley, says of the story behind the video:
"The clip is the same as the song. It’s about a guy who is losing his love for nature and gardening. Something which was so pure, then through growing up and pursuing it professionally it starts to lose its spark. The beautiful woman in the clip is my mum in her backyard - her pride and joy. She is a horticulturist and a plant guru. We did kill her off though (sorry mum!)"
