After successfully releasing her self-titled debut EP last year, Kira Puru has returned with a brand new track, Everything Is Better Without You – a song that exudes self-care and a fierce attitude. Kira Puru has been making her mark across the music scene and doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon. She has been supporting Peking Duk on their Biggest Tour Ever and with the release of this brand new jam, it’s clear she’s not ready to slow down.  Her self-titled EP helped establish her as this confident artist and included major songs such as Tension and the big hit, Molotov, which landed a place in triple j’s Hottest 100 this year and raked in 2.3 million streams – and counting.

Everything Is Better Without You only helps in defining her as this strong powerhouse of an artist. It’s a confident anthem that throws around a sense of relief after leaving something (or someone) that has been dragging you down. Puru’s vocals punch through the song while the strong percussive beats underneath helps keep the song moving and makes you wish it were longer than what it actually is. “It’s an anthem for anyone who has had to make the decision to distance themselves from a toxic relationship of any kind. It's essentially about empowerment, healing from a broken heart and emerging stronger, smarter, better, and more badass,” says Puru. She’s out to inspire and share the self-appreciative attitude that can only be described as contagious. Catch her on a national tour with Kinder this June/July, dates below:
