The former Snakadaktal member is carving out a beautiful solo career..
Having since moved on from his original project Snakadaktal (RIP) and more recently the name of his first solo project, Kagu, Sean Heathcliff appears ready to bear all under his own name with his new EP, A Boy And His Rose. The five-track release is a delicate collection of dreamy, indie-pop sounds that find Heathcliff introspective, delving into love and life through personal experiences, told across a luscious musical landscape that is as captivating as it is dreamy. It comes after a turbulent year for Heathcliff ("It was a problematic year and not everything went to plan.") which perhaps gives the EP even more weight, and explains why he's going under his own name now, looking "to have less to hide behind... It makes me more concerned and conscious of the way I go about my music and what I present to everyone outside of my bedroom."
And one listen to A Boy And His Rose, below, will have you agreeing that it's been a fantastic move ahead of the EP's official release on this Friday March 17. And you can catch him launching it live at a couple of upcoming dates (check down the bottom for the full deets):
