"A gorgeous offering on her first venture as a solo artist."
Perth artist Tanaya Harper has just premiered her tender, debut EP Some Kinds, on theMusic.com.au, addressing her experiences with depression, anxiety and living with bipolar disorder.
Having previously shared the stage with artists like Alex The Astronaut, Jen Cloher and Abbe May, the five track collection also features Stella Donnelly on guitar on Graceless, Feeding Frenzy and The Dark I Love.
“The release expresses the experience of living with bipolar disorder - specifically the depressive episodes and debilitating anxiety that comes with it," Harper said.
"The music I write often varies in style and genre, so the name 'Some Kinds' is my way of distinguishing between these songs and others that I have, keeping them in a nice little compact bubble that have their own shared identity.”
