A must-listen collaboration between Banks and Sohn..
Where Fucking With Myself was abstract, Gemini Feed seems like a much safer play from Banks and her team. Written in collaboration with Sohn you can hear Sohn's melancholic instrumentals from the moment the track begins but they don't make this song. Banks's vocals hold up this track, channelling the energy of her best work from Goddess. Indeed, it's this slow, moody lyricism wrapped around solid choruses that saw thousands of people fall in love with her at the first moment they heard her. Sonically this song isn't any Beggin For Thread or Warm Water but it's far more focused than the overly abstract Fucking With Myself. Why? Because while conceptually Fucking With Myself is some of her strongest work it just doesn't necessarily attract as a song. Gemini Feed can do this.
