An infectious single from the Brisbane singer/songwriter..
Brisbane-based singer/songwriter Hannah Shepherd, aka Airling, has been killing it over the past couple of years; releasing her debut EP, Love Gracefully, back in 2014 and appearing on Japanese Wallpaper's hit, Forces, in April last year. From all accounts, Shepherd has spent recent times locked down in writing mode, getting material penned and readied for a debut album, and today we're lucky enough to hear new music from Airling in the form of infectious single, Move Me. Shepherd lets her divine vocals take you for a walk on Move Me, with a minimalistic, Tom Iansek-produced beat laying the perfect backdrop for her playful lyricism. Shepherd spoke about trying to take a simplistic approach to songwriting for Move Me: "The song was completely stripped back to its bones, as a melody and beat, with me vibing out at home and we let it be that expression without over-complicating things or the sentiment. There's a sensuality to it: in the notion of borrowing someone's body on the dance floor and seeing how it fits with your own."
