Twenty years after iconic radio duo Wil Anderson and Adam Spencer wrapped up their final triple j Breakfast show and embarked on a tour called The Last Time, the pair have announced their long-awaited reunion. The duo hosted triple j’s Breakfast show from 2000 to 2004.
Joining forces for the First Time (In A Long Time) tour, Anderson and Spencer have announced a six-date run across the country, starting in late October and running until mid-December.
Beginning at Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre on Saturday, 26 October, the pair will then head to Sydney’s Factory Theatre on Saturday, 9 November, Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Friday, 15 November, Brisbane’s Powerhouse on Friday, 6 December, Wollongong Town Hall on Friday, 13 December, and wraps up at Newcastle’s Civic Theatre on Saturday, 14 December.
You can find tickets via comedy.com.au on Thursday, 29 August, with pre-sale access, news and other offers available here.
Described as a time-travelling event, Anderson and Spencer will head back to the 2000s for “a night of stories, comedy, music, news and whatever other memories they can piece together.”
In a statement, Anderson said of the pair’s reunion, “Working with Adam on triple j in the early 2000s are some of my fondest memories and that is just the stuff I can remember. I can’t wait to be back onstage with Adam talking about the old days, and hopefully he can fill in some gaps for me.”
