'Heartbreak High' Season Two Soundtrack Revealed

Season two of the highly anticipated Netflix series Heartbreak High premieres tonight, and with it, Purple Sneakers can reveal the addictive soundtrack.

From Troye Sivan to Peggy Gou to Cub Sport to Mallrat, the soundtrack is nostalgic, fresh and always hard-hitting.

Heartbreak High season two sees the return of last year’s Logie nominees Ayesha Madon, Chloé Hayden and 2023 Logie winner and 2022 AACTA winner Thomas Weatherall, plus James Majoos, Asher Yasbincek, Will McDonald, Gemma Chua-Tran, Bryn Chapman-Parish, Sherry-Lee Watson, Brodie Townsend and Josh Heuston. 

In addition to the returning cast members, the new season of Heartbreak High welcomes Sam Rechner (The Fabelmans fame) getting involved in a love triangle, Deadloch’s Kartanya Maynard comes along as an “opinionated celibacy advocate”, and Angus Sampson (Furiosa, The Lincoln Lawyer, Fargo) as the new Head of PE.

An official synopsis for the new season reads, courtesy of Netflix:

All our heroes are back for Term Two at the ‘lowest ranking school in the district.’ But fresh hotties, a new sports teacher and a mystery assailant throw any hopes for a peaceful term into disarray, while the race for school captain is seeing dirty tactics run rife through Hartley High. Yep... It’s Term 2 bitches, and it’s more chaotic than ever.
