Plini Roessler-Holgate (born 1992 or 1993), known mononymously as Plini, is an Australian guitarist and songwriter. He began his career by releasing music under the name Halcyon, before switching to the use of his first name. Steve Vai described him as "the future of exceptional guitar playing", and the website MusicRadar named Plini the best prog guitarist of 2017.Plini has released a trilogy of extended plays (Other Things and Sweet Nothings in 2013, The End of Everything in 2015).

It’s a rainy Saturday afternoon for the first show of the Monolith Festival tour. But after being rescheduled multiple times, not even the dreary weather can stop Brisbane’s metal contingent from gathering at Eatons Hill Outdoors for what can only be described as the lineup of Australian progheads’ wildest dreams, with a few fun surprises thrown in for good measure.
We came, we saw, we worshipped. Northlane's Obsidian album tour wrapped up with a completely sold-out Tivoli show in Brisbane, and the vibe could not have been higher. This was one of those nights where the venue was full from as soon as alt. took the stage and it never let up.
A chilly Tuesday evening in Melbourne heralded the much anticipated, 4 times rescheduled performance of Sydney guitar virtuoso Plini, in support of his new album Impulse Voices. 900 punters packed into the sold-out 170 Russell to bear witness to Plini’s largest headline show of his career, and this was a night for all to remember.
