A$AP Ferg

Darold Durard Brown Ferguson Jr. (born October 20, 1988), known professionally as ASAP Ferg (stylized as A$AP Ferg), is an American rapper from New York City's Harlem neighborhood. He is best known as a member of the hip hop collective A$AP Mob, from which he adopted a record deal with Polo Grounds and RCA—the same labels that helped launch ASAP Worldwide. Two years prior, Ferg's ASAP Mob cohorts ASAP Rocky and the late ASAP Yams effectively negotiated their own respective deal. Ferguson's debut studio album Trap Lord was released in August 2013 to commercial success and generally positive reception, also marking his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 with its triple platinum certified-lead single, "Work (Remix)" (featuring ASAP Rocky, French Montana, Schoolboy Q, and Trinidad James).

In April 2016, Ferguson released his second studio album, Always Strive and Prosper to similar reception. The following year, Ferguson released the commercial mixtape Still Striving, which was preceded by the single "Plain Jane" (remixed featuring Nicki Minaj). In 2020, Ferguson released the single "Move Ya Hips" (featuring Nicki Minaj and MadeinTYO), which peaked at number 19 on the Billboard Hot 100—becoming his highest-charting single—while marking one of the largest downward movements in the chart's history the following week. In 2021, Ferguson signed a management deal with Roc Nation.Outside of music, Ferguson founded the street fashion brand Traplord in 2012, which was namesake for his debut album. In 2013, he was named "Rookie of the Year" at the BET Hip Hop Awards.

New Music: A$AP Ferg (prod. Clams Casino) - Talk It
A$AP Mob member Ferg gets deep over a Clams Casino beat on new track 'Talk It'.. Approaching the release of his Gangsta Grillz mixtape, the DJ Drama-hosted Ferg Forever, A$AP Ferg released this track, which is a little lighter and softer than we’re used to from the usually quite intense, turnt-up Trap Lord. New Jersey producer Clams Casino (Mike Volpe), provides the hazy, spacey beat, and Ferg gives him a nice old shout out "All I ever wanted was a Clams Casino beat / To talk about these loyal fans that be talkin' about me". Ferg is no doubt a fan of Clams work thanks to Clams’ work with Ferg’s fellow mob member A$AP Rocky: Clams played a big hand with production for Rocky’s releases Live Love ASAP (‘11) and Long Live Asap (’13). Ferg gets introspective on the track, reflecting on his personal struggle with fame, the role of his fans, and even touching on recent political issues via the recent Michael Brown shooting verdict "I mean we when I say Ferguson they talk about me / Little bro
