Hiatus Kaiyote ( hy-AY-təs kay-YOH-tee) is an Australian jazz/funk band formed in Melbourne in 2011, made up of singer/guitarist Nai Palm, bassist Paul Bender, keyboardist Simon Mavin, and drummer Perrin Moss.

Grammy nominated band Hiatus Kaiyote have just dropped their electronic, soul infused EP In Fire.. One of the most impressive Australian stories of musical triumph in recent years is Hiatus Kaiyote; a band that dabbles in electronic-infused R&B, and were the first Australian group to be nominated for a Grammy in the R&B Performance catergory. Boiler Room delves deeper into the Australian club scene with a new web series.. Well, this is cool. Red Bull Music Academy has teamed up with Boiler Room (who broadcast net streams of live DJ sets from clubs around the world) to create a special web series that hones in on Australian producer and DJ talent, to be launched with Boiler Room’s biggest Australian show to date.
